Wine Buddy Limited is registered as a company in England & Wales (Company No. 6438417).  The registered office for Wine Buddy Limited is Lancaster Fields, Crewe Gates Industrial Estate, Crewe, Cheshire, CW1 6FF.

Age Restriction

By placing an order you are confirming that you, and the intended recipient, are 18 years of age or over. We cannot sell wine to anyone who is under 18. You may be asked to provide proof of age prior to delivery.

Minimum Orders  

For purchases of wine there is a minimum purchase of six bottles whilst purchases over six bottles must be made in multiples of six.

This is with the exception of wine purchased as a Wooden Gift Box.  Here the minimum purchase is related to the size of the gift box purchased. 

For purchases of Mixed Cases selected by Wine Buddy there is no minimum purchase.

Prices And Payment

All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling and include prevailing rates of taxation and duty unless otherwise specifically stated.

Payment is readily accepted by Mastercard, Maestro, Solo, Visa and JCB.

All credit & debit cards are processed by RBS WorldPay.  RBS Worldpay is part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group and it provides secure on-line payments.  Your credit card details are not held by Wine Buddy Limited.

Payment by cheque and cash is not possible for purchases made via the website.  Please contact Wine Buddy directly by telephone or e-mail should you wish to pay by cheque.  If paying by cheque, you must allow at least 5 working days for this to clear before dispatch of order.  Cheques will only be accepted with a valid cheque guarantee card number written on the reverse, along with the expiry date and issue number.

All goods delivered by Wine Buddy Limited shall remain the property of Wine Buddy Limited until Wine Buddy Limited has received, in cash or cleared funds, payment in full for such goods, but the risk in such goods shall pass to the buyer upon delivery.

Substitutions

We cannot guarantee the availability of all the products we advertise. In the event that a product becomes unavailable we will amend the detail contained on the website within a reasonable period.  Should you have ordered a product that has become unavailable we will contact you to advise you of a suitable replacement or later delivery date or to arrange for a refund.

Delivery

Delivery is made between Monday and Friday. No deliveries are made on Bank Holidays.

All goods must be paid for in full before delivery will be made.

Orders made via the website can be delivered to any single United Kingdom address (excluding the Channel Islands). 

We can deliver to & accept orders from the Channel Islands.  Please contact us for the current relevant charges that may be applicable.

Orders will attract the relevant delivery charge outlined on the Wine Buddy website.  This can change from time to time without notice. 

You agree that we may use independent third parties to deliver the wines.

Whilst every effort is made to dispatch your orders to satisfy either the next working day or 2 to 4 working day delivery options, please allow up to thirty days for delivery. Should we be unable to satisfy your delivery requirements we will advise you.  In exceptional circumstances, we may require a longer period. In such cases, we will attempt to notify you and Wine Buddy Limited reserves the right to dispatch the order within a reasonable period of the occurrence of such delay.

We cannot be held responsible for incorrect delivery information provided by customers. If an address or post code is wrong and we have to redirect the parcel to an alternative address, there is a £15 redirection charge applicable (this will be charged to your credit card).  An extra delivery charge may also be made if we cannot deliver the goods to the specified address due to a problem caused by the customer.

Our carriers do not leave wine unless signed for at the delivery address. If the customer gives special instructions to Wine Buddy for the carrier to leave the delivery outside or with a neighbour etc then it will be left at the customers own risk.

Non-fulfiment of orders

Wine Buddy Limited reserves the right not to fulfill an order for whatever reason.  Should Wine Buddy Limited exercise this right then a full refund will be given to the customer.  Please be aware that any refunds to a credit card will be processed immediately by us, but may take between three and ten days to appear on your statement. Such refunds will include the purchase price plus the amount of any delivery charge.

Breakages

All goods must be examined at the time of delivery. Claims for breakages will only be accepted if we are notified within two working days of delivery and the damaged products and their packaging are kept for inspection and the loss or damage is noted at the time of delivery.

Cooling Off Period And Customer Guarantee

You are entitled to cancel your order, using the contact details provided on the “Contact Us” page of the Wine Buddy website or at the beginning of these Terms and Conditions, for a period of seven working days from delivery to you. In addition, if you don't like a bottle of wine that you have bought from us, or if it is damaged or faulty in any way, we will replace it or provide a full refund, whichever you prefer. Your statutory rights are not affected by this guarantee.

The additional customer guarantee provided above is intended for the benefit of all our customers. However, if we believe that a customer has abused this guarantee, we may decide to withdraw the benefit of the customer guarantee from that customer. Alternatively, we reserve the right to close that or any other account of the Customer without notice and/or refuse to accept any further orders from that customer. In these circumstances, our decision will be final.

Refunds

Please be aware that any refunds to a credit card will be processed immediately by us, but may take between three and ten days to appear on your statement. Such refunds will include the amount of any delivery charge. However, we reserve the right to deduct from the amount refunded the cost of returning the wine to Wine Buddy Limited.

Price Guarantee

Should you find a wine supplied to you by Wine Buddy cheaper elsewhere within 7 days of purchase then Wine Buddy will refund you the difference.  Requests for refunds must be accompanied with full details of the wine, cost and where the wine can be purchased. Wine Buddy reserves the right to verify these details. You can decide to take have the refund made directly to your credit card or use it as a credit on your next Wine Buddy purchase.   

Voucher redemption

Should you receive a voucher to redeem against the purchase of wine from us you agree to be bound the terms and conditions on that voucher.

Vouchers are not transferable and may not be sold or auctioned.

Force Majeure

Wine Buddy Limited and any of its employees will not be liable for failure to meet agreed obligations due to prevailing circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Suspicion of Fraud

In the case of suspected fraud, Wine Buddy Limited will inform proper authorities and legal action will be taken.

Accuracy of information contained on this website

Wine Buddy Limited takes reasonable care to make sure that the information appearing on this website is accurate and up-to-date. However, errors and omissions can occur and the user should not take the accuracy of the information for granted but should check directly with Wine Buddy Limited. None of the material contained in this website is to be relied upon as a statement or representation of fact.

We do not knowingly pass your details to any third party.  This excludes the courier or delivery company utilised to deliver your order.

Cookies are small amounts of information which we store on your computer. Unless you have indicated your objection when disclosing your details to us, our system will issue cookies to your computer when you log on to the site. Cookies make it easier for you to log on to and use the site during future visits. They also allow us to monitor website traffic and to personalise the content of the site for you. You may set up your computer to reject cookies although, in that case, you may not be able to use certain features on our site.

The Wine Buddy website is a hosted site.  Our website hosts employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.

We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.

You are entitled to see the information held about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. If you wish to do this, please contact us. We are entitled by law to charge a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Any changes to the privacy policy, contained in this Clause, will be posted to the site and, where appropriate, through e-mail notification.

Spam

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Act 2003, we do not send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam). We will only send email newsletters if you have specifically stated that you wish to be on our mailing list.

Warranty; Limitation on Liability

We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by us or our employees or agents in circumstances where such loss or damage: "was not foreseeable to both us and you when the contract was formed"; was not caused by any breach on our part"; and/or "relates to business and/or non-consumers".

We will not be liable for loss or damage caused by your handling the wine. In particular we will not be liable for spillages or breakages.

Customers should also be aware of the following inherent risks and warnings: "Alcohol should be consumed in moderation.  It is the customers’ responsibility to adhere to any Government health warnings regarding the consumption of alcohol."  “A case of wine is heavy so extra care should be taken when lifting it. If you are concerned about the weight we advise that you transfer the bottles 1 or 2 at a time.” "Sparkling wines and champagnes can be volatile due to the build up of gasses so extra care should be taken when opening these.”

Trademarks

The trade marks and logos (the Trademarks) used and displayed on this website are registered and unregistered trademarks of Wine Buddy Limited and others.
